With our signature white string lights, the Salt Market* was an offbeat urban art and craft market in Syracuse, NY. Typically housed in warehouse or vacant storefront spaces, the Salt Market connected the greater community with independent artists & designers whose wares weren’t accessible otherwise, making this a unique market experience for our city. Visitors to the market came to expect a vibrant, community-based event; re-imagining all things locally handmade while enjoying local music performances and delicious food provided by local venues!

*Previously known as the Salt City Urban Art and Craft Market. Founded in 2009.

**The Pepper Market was a temporary market with the concept: “30 artists and designers selling their wares for $30 and under”. 2012 & 2013.

Launched in 2011, the Funky Flea began as a fundraiser for the Syracuse Public Arts Task Force, to raise money for community art events and public art. The annual summer market quickly became a favorite place to shop for vintage and handmade wares, featuring over 70+ vendors, along with food trucks, and acoustic live music. Most events were held at the Everson Museum Plaza, 2012-2014.
